Alhambra

The City of Alhambra was founded in 1874 and named after the Washington Irving book, “The Alhambra”, about the famed Moorish palace in Granada, Spain. Known as the “Gateway to the San Gabriel Valley,” the city is a family-oriented community with a strong multi-ethnic population. It has a reputation for fine schools and after-school programs, youth sports, and a wide range of service and programs for seniors.
